Position Summary 

Nurse Leaders have responsibility for ensuring that services and programs provided through their patient care service area is child and family focused, clinically appropriate, operationally efficient, and achieves effective patient outcomes. The focus of time will be spent developing and providing direction for delivery of care and nursing practice including financial and administrative management as well as quality leadership and improvement. Nursing Leaders will monitor and support the skills and involvement of staff associated with the service and will cause such skills and involvement to be increased or expanded as appropriate to meet current and future needs. They will also assure that Children's core values are implemented and a culture of excellence in care and service is developed. 

Qualifications

Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's preferred.

 

Experience:

* Minimum 2 years RN experience, one year in a pediatric setting preferred

* Demonstrated leadership experience.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Flexible with work hours and able to shift work priorities

* Collaborative

* Human relations and communication skills

* Ability to guide and coach others

* Conflict resolution skills

* Partnership skills

* De-escalation skills

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
